Paths & banis

The shape of
a Sikh day.

Nitnem is the daily discipline of banis a Sikh keeps: fixed compositions recited before dawn, again after sunset, and last of all before sleep. What each one is, who composed it, where it sits in the day, and how long it takes. These pages explain the paths; they do not reproduce them. For the words themselves, go to the Guru Granth Sahib or your gurudwara. Sevahey does not perform paths, and each page says so.
