Ardaas & langar seva
Your name entered into the ardaas, and the seva done in the way the gurudwara does it.
Commonly requested
- Ardaas — your name and the intention entered and read.
- Karah prasad — offered on your behalf and distributed at the gurudwara.
- Langar seva — a contribution to the day's langar, with a record of it.
- Akhand Path — arranged with the gurudwara where they undertake it; dates set by them, not by us.
- Rumala sahib — offered where the gurudwara accepts it.
Langar
Langar seva is not a donation into a general fund. It is given to that gurudwara's kitchen on that day, and your proof includes what was contributed and the acknowledgement from the gurudwara.
Good to know
Akhand Path runs continuously for around 48 hours and is scheduled entirely by the gurudwara. Requests are made well ahead. Your Sevak attends the bhog and records it; they do not perform the path.
