What you can request
Namaz & dua
A dua read in your name, or in the name of someone you are asking for.
Commonly requested
- Dua — read at the mosque or dargah, in your name or another's.
- Chaadar — offered at the dargah, with the name read.
- Quran khwani — recitation arranged, commonly for the departed.
- Fatiha — recited at a grave or dargah on your behalf.
- Sadaqah — given at the mosque, with a record of what was given and to whom.
Prayer times
Sevas are performed at the correct waqt for the place, not at a time convenient to the request. Fajr means Fajr. Your proof carries the actual time, so you can see for yourself.
Fridays and Ramadan
Jummah and the nights of Ramadan are heavily requested and are capped so that Sevaks are not rushing between them. If a slot is full, you will see the next honest one rather than a promise that cannot be kept.
Reassurance
Where a dua must be made by the person themselves for it to be meaningful, we will say so rather than take the request. The Sevak's role is to be present, to offer, and to record — not to stand in for you where standing in is not permitted.
