Festival & occasion sevas

The days when not being there is felt most.

Festival days are the reason most people find Sevahey. A first Diwali abroad. An Eid where the family is in three countries. A father's birthday, four years after he died.

Days we prepare for

  • Diwali, Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, Chhath
  • Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, Shab-e-Barat, the nights of Ramadan
  • Gurpurab, Baisakhi, Bandi Chhor Divas
  • Christmas, Easter, All Souls, parish feast days
  • Paryushan, Mahavir Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, Navroz
  • Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, death anniversaries

Book early

On major festival days the busiest temples and mosques reach capacity days in advance. Requests open around three weeks ahead. When a place is full, we say it is full — we do not move your seva to a quieter temple and hope you will not mind.

Good to know

A recurring seva can be set for a date that returns each year — an anniversary, a parent's birthday. It is confirmed with you each year before it is performed, and never charged silently.
